SES Prof. Anne Carey and Students Conducting NSF-Funded Research in Guatemala

Professor Anne Carey and her students are in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala conducting NSF-funded research on the role of landslides in mobilizing carbon in watersheds. Pictured on a bridge over Rio Matanzas, one of the streams under investigation, are graduate student Brandon McAdams, Anne Carey, and undergraduate major Andi Portier. The research is in collaboration with Professor Carla Restrepo of the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras.
